Waterfront, St Ives
Warwick backblip 6
Up at the crack of dawn to hitch up the caravan and drive from the festival site in Warwick to MrM's dad's in Lincolnshire - we were there for 9.00am. Put all our gear, except for a few mandolins, into the caravan, which we left in MrM Snr's driveway.
Then on with the next stage of today's travels (with Louie, who'd survived his weekend in Lincolnshire), to Cambridge via St Ives, where we stopped for a break and some lunch. Lovely views from the bridge - one of the few still with a Chantry chapel. Then it took ages to drive the relatively short distance into the centre of Cambridge due to very heavy traffic. But it was worth it.
A music shop had expressed an interest in stocking some of our instruments, and we'd taken a few mandolins for them to look at. And, very much to our surprise, they bought them all!
No time to look around Cambridge, so we drove back to Lincolnshire via Ely where we sat in the sunshine and enjoyed fish and chips. Time to spend a couple of hours with MrM's dad before bed. Shattered!
