Ready For The Staircase

Another scorching day on the Canal-du-Midi. We completed around 54km of lock free travel, a feat of engineering that sees plenty of twists and turns in the route (and a tunnel!!) before we arrived at Beziers in the late afternoon. Here there is a 7 lock staircase (The Fonserannes Staircase) which only opens at specific times of day in each direction so our plan was always to be here and ready for the early morning slot tomorrow. The blip is the view over the city as the sunset.
