Late arrivals

Up for a very early walk this morning (the one I usually avoid) and really enjoyed it. Just three ladies and no dogs on this occasion which allowed us to get near to the geese and ducks being fed on Coppice Pond.

Amazing to find this very young brood of ducklings at this time of year. Mum and her whole brood of 6 ducklings.

The young geese are now barely distinguishable from their parents. The only clue was a few fluffy feathers still on the backs of their necks.

Very pleasant morning - like summer! Cloudier this afternoon but I didn't mind as I have enjoyed a very exciting time watching team GB go up the medals table!
