Route 66!

A long day on the road today with soaring temperatures after we left the coast.

We left the Freeway for a little while to follow the Historic Old Route 66.

Here is a stretch of it across the Mojave desert - as far as the eye can see - and the temperature reached 112F (about 42/3C)!

We ended the day at Laughlin - described to us as Las Vegas for the over 50's!
Our hotel was meant to be a steam boat on the River Colorado. Good fun but they charged for wifi so I am posting a day late!!!
