When Katie rocks the 2028 games (as calculated by her friends' mum, the first that she will legally be able to enter!) I suspect it will include her signature move. The Monkey. She will do this both from the asymetric bars and the beam. She will likely use it as a celebration off the side of the pool when she wins a swimming medal too. Her strength at it astonishes me. She has some serious core strength! In other "Katie's Olympic News", as well as enjoying some of the awesome rowing and cycling today, Katie is very excited to now be an owner of a (75% off!) Pride the Lion mascot. She recognises him now, from the tshirts we ordered online, from the kit she sees Team GB wearing and such.

A fun day today - we went back to our old village for the day. On hearing this, a friend asked us to watch her little lady for the morning, so we went and got Amelie. Every minute with her is a delight, she's just a pleasure. Even more so because in a week's time they'll have moved away. We went to tea and toast, where Katie was thrilled to see her little friends.

We walked back with Amelie to their house, before they dropped us off to see The Cousins. Katie's not seen much of them in a while, so she was extremely pleased. They charged around the garden for a bit before coming inside to eat cake and celebrate Cousin 2's 12th birthday. They then had a long play inside with teddies, and some more charging round, before Katie ate her weight in grapes. She was asleep on my shoulder before I was even 2 streets away from their house!
