Abbaye Cottage

It's been another scorcher today - 30 degrees!  Now I'm not complaining, but after having had no summer in the UK so far, we're not acclimatised!  30 degrees by the sea is nice, but inland with no breeze, it's very hot!

But, we've had a lovely day - this morning we went to the neighbouring town of Montsoreau where they had a big brocante.  We bought a few things for the 'palace' and then went to the food market where we bought a roast chicken for lunch.

Then this afternoon we went for a walk around Fontevraud with the boys.  Bobbie saw a cat and started barking, so Milou joined in.  I then heard an English guy say to his wife 'stupid dogs'!  Well, that was a red rag to a bull - I said 'they're not stupid, they've seen a cat so it's instinct!'  His face was a picture, I think he assumed I was French and wouldn't understand him, and he couldn't say anything.  He just said to his wife 'come on, let's go'.  Silly, silly man!  It couldn't have happened to a nicer person....

Anyway, I thought I'd show you our holiday home, and I'll try and add some other pics to my extras if the wifi will let me.

On the sports front, we watched Lewis win the British Grand Prix and we're now watching the football - obviously hoping the French win!
