Eggspectant!

This morning Sherbie was huddled down in the nest and was very calm, even letting me open the cage door and put my camera inside to take this picture.  A little later, she was on her perch and when I looked in there was one perfect little egg which is about the size of a Cadbury's Mini Egg (see my extra).  It's so egg-citing!!  I couldn't help the play on words here :-)

By tonight she hasn't laid any more, and intermittently sits on this egg and then covers it up with a piece of toilet tissue, when she gets out of the nest.  She must be keeping it warm bless her!

There have been lots of posts on social media about Saturday's wedding, but the most exciting one for the boys is the fact that they've been contacted while in Sorrento by Hello Magazine and done an interview which you can read here.  It's the online magazine, so I'm not sure if it'll be in the paper copy, but I'll keep my eye out.

And there's been some not so good news in that 8 youths broke into the Lido last night and went swimming, but then followed this by smashing the glass screens around the pool.  Five got away, but three of them were arrested, however they've been let off because there was insufficient evidence!  They were 15 and 16 years of age  and all local , and whilst the Lido CIC aren't able to name them, they've certainly posted a lot of posts on Facebook in the hope that someone knows who they are, and they come forward to apologise and pay for the damage.  It's so very sad, when the volunteers have worked hard to provide something nice for the local community.
