Porpoiseful

Our final activity in Iceland was an evening whalewatching trip in the large bay in which Reykjavik sits. The sun was glorious and lit up the backs of the harbour porpoises as we caught a glimpse of them frolicking; the first time I've ever seen them.

We also saw a few minke whales diving down and puffins flapping furiously across the water surface. Dressed up in huge red boiler suits to escape the cold, it was a memorable end to a few days in Iceland.

An extra of some very eggy smelling geothermal pools at the end of a hike we did today. Scenic views all around and some hardy bathers spotted stripping off amongst the steam.
