Waulkmill Bay
Our last day with the car and we had a assignation with the Thursday coffee morning at the church in Orphir, usually graced by IainatCreel and CMC, but with their galavanting elsewhere, it was left to His Lordship and me to make up the numbers and try out the parishioners' home baking.
Then along to Kirkwall, taking in en route, the beautiful Waulkmill Bay with not a soul in sight on the huge stretch of sand, and then following a roundabout route through our favourite territory to Birsay for lunch.
We returned the car, thankfully with no extra scratches or dents, and took to foot power once more.
My extra image is of the cattle in a field of buttercups on the Orphir road, with a view over to Hoy.
