According to a recent BTO survey, it turns out that Goldfinches' favourite garden food is sunflower seed, with nyjer seed a runner-up. In our current garden, the Goldfinch eat both, whereas at our old place, they ate only the former and wouldn't touch the latter.
Not a very pleasant day - dull and drizzly.
