Norma...
Backblip
John and Norma stayed over night and we had a very leisurely breakfast. Luckily Alan had a bit of a lie in and wasn't looking for his breakfast till lunch time!
The weather was lovely and John and Norma had a wee wander in the garden. When the came back in I grabbed Norma as I wanted to get some photos of her as it's her 80th Birthday next month (I think she looks amazing for 80) and I want to give her an official portrait.
I also got some lovely shots of her and John together and ones of her and Alan. The latter ones will be her favourite. She just adores Alan and the feeling is mutual.
After lunch the weather took a turn for the worse so there was nothing else for it but to get my sleeves rolled up and make some goodies in preparation for next weekend's blip get together.
Mega oat cookies were made as well as biscuits that will become Empire Biscuits at the weekend once they are sandwiched with jam and have icing on top. I was going to make a Victoria sponge but the ungrateful lot have requested coconut cake instead. I'll make that on Friday.
The weather cleared up again in the evening so Alan and Karen went out for a walk. Unfortunately when pushing Alan over a manhole cover, the cover kind of collapsed, the wheelchair tipped forward (thankfully Alan's straps stopped him falling out) and Karen banged her leg. She managed to get the chair straightened again but they were both a bit shaken when they got back.
David nipped out and took photos of the manhole and will report it first thing in the morning.
