E for Embarrassment...
Honestly, you can't take me anywhere!
The day started well.
The plan was we would go to Orthotics at PRI to pick up my new shoes then take my car to the VW Dealership where I would be dropping it off forever, having decided one car between us is enough. (Three years tomorrow since I picked her up. Felt more sad about it than I thought I would.)
Anyway, we were just about to head off to Perth when I realised I didn't have my orthotics appointment letter. A quick rummage through some handbags and I found it. Just as well really as it turns out my appointment is 26th July, not June! Oops! I used to get so annoyed with my mum for getting appointments mixed up and now it's me! Turns out it's quite an easy thing to do.
So, lunch at home instead then off to the car dealership just after 2.30pm.
Got parked easily then went inside to meet with the salesman (a very nice man) and wait whilst he checked the car over and got me to sign the paperwork. So far so good. And then it happened. Foot in mouth!
Easier to relay the conversation than explain, so here goes...
Salesman - Okay Diane, I've checked your car over, it's immaculate, so I'll just be a minute completing the paperwork then I'll get your signature and that's the handover complete.
ME - Great thanks.
Salesman (typing onto his laptop) - What's the registration number again?
Me - RX14 SRV*
Saleman (still typing) - RX14 SRB
ME - No, SRV
Salesman - D?
Me (getting slightly exasperated) No, V....for vagina!
Hahahahahaha.....OMG! Tumbleweed city!
Classic case of engaging mouth before brain! In that second it was obviously the only word starting with V that my brain could come up with. I am still laughing (and cringing) about it now!
Quick coffee stop at Gloagburn on the way home, as you do, then home the long way which let me nab my blip. The sky was weird again.
In other news, Alan had a great afternoon ten pin bowling with his pal Rachel and this time he won. Chuffed he was :-))
*Not my real registration number, apart from the final letter of course :-)) Just realised! I could have said V for Volkswagen!
