Another new week...
in the building schedule.
Things are moving apace. The pool specialists arrived and have started work on the pool shell.
I was getting my haircut at 9.15am and was trying to get out the driveway just as an articulated lorry was trying to deliver three pallets of....well actually I'm not sure what was on the pallets. Something brick like I think.
Anyway, typical me was running late so one of the builders stopped the traffic and guided me out. I quite like having my own traffic controller :-))
Thankfully got parked right outside the hairdressers, hurriedly stuffed my car key in my bag and headed towards the salon. Had only taken about 4 steps when a woman with a buggy called to me that'd I'd dropped my car keys. She says she heard them falling. I never heard a thing but sure enough they were under my car (she also kindly retrieved them for me. My creaky hips would never have allowed me to reach under. I held onto her pram a a favour in return :-) Thank heavens she was there. I'd have spent forever hunting for them convinced they were in my bag. I really shouldn't be let out alone.
As my haircut was two months overdue (due to being housebound with said creaky hips) I decided to get my hair cut shorter than normal, just incase it's a while before I'm able to return. OMG, it's short! I am usually quite philosophical about haircuts and if I'm not keen I don't generally fret because hair grows. This time I'm a bit erm, not happy. I'm not annoyed with the hairdresser at all. She's cut it exactly as I described. No, I am annoyed with myself as I strongly suspected I would regret it but went ahead anyway. Eejit!
Oh well, I shall pray for sunshine and put a hat on!
