A slice of Lesley's life

By Lesley

Happy Father's Day.

And joyously it was.

My folks were down to see Anna's show which meant I got to see my dad on Father's Day which always feels like a bonus. As she was going to be out all day we made our family meal breakfast. Followed for the kids by a game of Rummikub with the grandparents. Won by Anna much to Jackson's disappointment. Still he only got caught with one tile.

After dropping Anna at the theatre to get ready I took mom and dad to the park opposite to meet my brother and his family. Lovely coffee and play in the sunshine before going to see the show. The picture is my brother and his eldest. The boys are only 5 and 3 so we weren't sure how they would cope with the show but they were both amazing and really enjoyed it.

Quick trip home to swap my folks for Carl and back to the theatre for the final show. It was all very good.

Home, farewell to my folks, a family Simpsons, some Father's Day curry and very soon a very early night.

Many good things to note but most importantly that Carlos had the Father's Day he deserves. And amazingly enough he spent a good chunk of it this morning doing more research on J's condition. Early exploratory days but he seems to have found a very interesting line of enquiry. He is indefatigable and I am so grateful for it.
