Eagle and the Seagull

We went back to the beach last night so I stopped to see if the Bald Eagles were at their nest in Garibaldi, but I heard squeaking behind me. I saw this sea gull dive bombing the eagle (see extra); The eagle landed in his usual tree and the gull continued to dive at him. (I had a difficult time deciding which photo to Blip. I liked each of these photos.) The drama playing out in nature is brutal, nobody is safe from harassment. The seagull finally left and the eagle relaxed; he went back to watching the bay for an easy meal. The weather was overcast, but a very pleasant day without any rain.
