Pizza in a piazza in Pisa

Jenny and and I are off on our walking trip to Tuscany. We got quite a later flight from Newcastle to Pisa, then the bus in to the town, and a short walk to our nice little hotel, south of the river, about 2km from the tower so not busy.

They told us about a local restaurant where we got a nice meal - not pizza! -salt cod with courgette and partisan, followed by rather a big plate of very tasty wild boar stew and polenta, washed down by some very acceptable red wine at €4 a half litre. Jenny took this photo of me.

Tomorrow we'll have the morning for Jenny to see the sights - I've been a couple of times already - before we get our trains to our first hotel, an Agrotirismo near Buonconvento.
