What lies ahead?

Full of foreboding. after scrambling to get away a day earlier intended - but huge relief as we pulled up outside the caretaker’s house to be greeted by the whole family, including the man himself. Walking with a stick and his balance wasn’t up to much, but very cheerful and talking normally – nineteen to the dozen, as usual. Everyone’s so immensely relieved that he’s not only still in the land of the living, but laughing and joking and talking about making a full recovery.

Felt euphoric for the rest of the evening.
