Wishing and hoping...

A worrying week, full of problems that won't go away and have no prospect of an easy solution. Ah well.

Spotted this mural on the way to choir. This artist has work all over Copacabana and Botafogo, and probably further afield as well, and his gentle sense of humour really appeals to me. He (or his alter ego, the little guy with the moustache) always appear somewhere in the murals.

Choir always makes things seem better, and we joined a friend afterwards to celebrate his birthday at one of Rio's traditional restaurants, much frequented in Copacabana's glory days by artists of stage and screen.
