Potfest 2016
Once again bestie Gill and I had a great day at Potfest in the grounds of Scone Palace near Perth, marvelling at the talent of the exhibiting potters whether or not we liked what they produced.
A case in point is the blip of this chap from Muggins Pottery whom we see every year and whose mugs and jars inevitably make us laugh, but don't tempt us to buy. Of the three different styles in the extra, I would happily buy two (money being no object), but acknowledge the skill shown in the third.
Yes, of course we both bought something!
On the way home we called in at pal Fiona's indoor garden party (!) in Stirling to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday. There were cucumber- and smoked salmon sangwitches, meringues, chocolate brownies, carrot cake, shortbread and profiteroles, washed down with Pimm's and tea, though not at the same time. Fiona's parties are always very good.
Happy weekend, blipmates!
