Glazed Look

There's a reason Simba looks so spaced out here - he'd been rolling in the cat mint and was in ecstasy:-)  

He watched me while I laboured to chop down a dogwood that had outgrown its welcome and which grows like a weed if you let it.  All gone now (shredded by my husband), with only the large root to dig out.  In its place we'll be planting a rhododendron luteum, which has been languishing in a pot for the last few years waiting for a home!

No need to water the garden this evening, as the rain arrived about 7 pm and hasn't stopped since!
