Get Ahead of the Flame

We came, we saw, we chased! To be fair we (I) got ever so over-excited about the whole shenanigans. We saw one torch-bearer and weren't satisfied (exhausted) until we had chased down two more. This is not the best picture but this was my favourite torch-bearer. I have no idea who he is, and I suspect his is 'just' and ordinary guy but he whooped and cheered for his whole 100m and couldn't have been happier. It was pretty infectious.

We had headed over to Ken & Chelsea as the torch was going past the top of a friends' road who had offered us lunch before torch hunting. This hospitality turned into the park and ice-creams after flame-chasing and dinner and drinks and snacks in the garden way after it was polite to have left. The impromptu summer days are often the very best.
