Dancing Goose
After a morning facetime call with the senior Bs, we headed out on our assigned trip of the day - the 'Old Trades' fair. This was basically a hard-to-find field (well done CarbBoy) with a bunch of stalls of folk explaining their trades (and some of them selling stuff as well); including a stonemason, two knife-makers, a seamstress, a jewelry maker, a brass-working person, the local hunters (that's a trade?), a tool restorer, and two potion makers. No wand maker. There were also plant displays, a pen of geese and hens, some amazingly cute donkeys and a huge horse. Also, of course, lots of local dancing and food. But here for your delectation is a dancing goose who'd just had a slightly inadequate bath. If nothing else the trip confirmed that we really want some hens.
Anyway, a fun trip out. Later there was a lot of sitting around and enjoying the weekend (lovely sunny day), some deadheading to the tune of the Great Terror, then a chicken dinner, a show Mr B thought we'd enjoy (he was right) and a depressing West Wing. Most of the evening has been spent trying to avoid stepping on a beetle in the living room that TallGirl has adopted as a pet. He hasn't moved for a while. Oops.
