Tea Party

Katie's loved today. We have spent most of it with her little friend Brooke. We cycled to meet them at the big play centre not far away this morning. They had over an hour in the toddler area, running back and forwards to us for snacks and drinks. They took a bit of a break when we attempted to get them to eat some dinner (not all that successfully, play too appealing!) and then they had a serious charge around the big kids area. Katie wasnt very impressed that we had to set off first so as to be back before Brooke, as they were coming to ours.

They had a great time playing together at our house. They had a play with the rabbits in the garden, they played dressing up, they played babies, they played kitchens, they played "working" on toy laptops, and then most adorably, they played tea parties. They had lined the babies and toys up and shared out the cups, saucers, cutlery in colour grouping. They were adorable.

Katie was mortified when Brooke went home. Even the promise of GrandadGranny coming for tea wasnt enough to cheer her up. I ended up offering to take her out on her balance bike to buy some fruit and a little sweet from the shop.

She's currently stood peeping through the letter box as GrandadGranny have just pulled up, she's slightly excited. Even more so because they've come for a sleepover tonight!
