Flowers from Lowes

Another semi-emergency blip. Stuck again in the big city of Flint for 6 hours. Instead of taking my walk in the nature preserve...I met my nephew Allen at a local high school to play some tennis.

To say it was good tennis would be an injustice to the word good. What should I take a picture of...1. A senior citizen rushing the net in a pathetic serve-and-volley game? 2. A senior citizen mis-hitting a ball up and over the fenced enclosure? (We never did find the ball.) 3. A senior citizen sucking down the Gator-ade?

Of all the games I've ever played...none of them frustrate me more than tennis. I think the shot...I envision the shot...then I miss the shot. I don't slam my racket down, and I don't swear...but I do yell at myself..."STUPID-STUPID-STUPID!!!, and I look up at the sky...and say "AAARRRGGGHHH!"

I treated my nephew to lunch...visited a couple of stores (Sam's Club and Aldi's)...then marched into Lowes. I didn't feel as guilty as I usually do...because this time I actually bought something. (An Asiatic Lily, and...the yellow flower...an Arizona Apricot Blanket flower.)

Allen won the first set 6-4. I took the second 6-3. Don't waste your time waiting for the highlights on Sportscenter....unless that seagull who tried to poop on us had a video camera.
