Cheese and Chives
well almost.........:-)
I took this in the garden this afternoon.....I'd been waiting for a bee to go into the lemon rhododendron as I thought it would be a nice contrast, but the flowers are so deep, the bees almost disappear...........saw this little fellow with his pollen sacs full on the chives instead. This is Sooc other than a small crop.
We both woke up just after 6 this morning, I think something outside disturbed us and we couldn't get back to sleep, so hub went down and made us a cup of tea.....that did the trick!
We drank it, fell back to sleep and woke again after 9.........well it is bank holiday :-)
For the third morning in a row, we had breakfast outside then went for our usual morning walk followed by a coffee reading the papers.
Weve had a day of pottering, nothing to strenuous, I did some laundry which dried in no time. Hub kept disappearing.......chatting to our neighbours out front ;-)
We had lunch outside too, Greek feta salad for me, hub had a scotch egg salad.........so lovely to,sit outdoors to eat. I e finally finished off the last bit of planting, hub bought three lovely variegated pelargoniums at weekend, so they have gone in today with the last of the verbena and diascia. One job remains, to transplant two blue agapanthus......maybe tomorrow.
I ve just put some piri piri chicken thighs I to the oven, think we'll have some home made special fried rice with it. We are off next door this evening for a few games of Canasta..it's a while since to played, might need reminding of the rules.....always fun though. I've got a bottle of prosecco chilling, to take with us........could become a habit ;-)
Hope you've all had a fab bank holiday weekend. :-)
