Rock Rose

We had a fun with our neighbours last night playing Canasta, we soon got the hang of it again.....we came home at 12.15......the time just whizzed by :-)

We slept well and got up this morning, breakfast outside again, then watered the baskets and containers etc. before taking a drive over to see youngest son. We sat in their garden, the sun was really warm, then went off out for lunch at an eatery that we'd not been to before, it was very nice. He is back in work tomorrow, this is the last of his 3 day weeks of his phased return to work following the ups and downs with his eyes......full time from next Monday :-)

We had another cuppa back at sons before driving home, got back around 4.30......more watering, a bit of pottering, cleared the pond
of blanket weed, around a stick works best, then hub topped it up as it had got a bit too low as it hasn't rained for a whole week....shhhh!!!!

I photographed this rock rose because it's flowering its little,head off at the moment.
I was surprised to see the effect in this shot, of the flower heads, buds and leaves, to me it looks like it's had some kind of "treatment" but I assure you it's not....it is SOOC.

We've not had anything for dinner this evening, might be an omelette shortly, something light for sure.
