Summer in the City

Well town if not city, it certainly was very summery, warm and sunny, and the crowds were out in force.  We found space in Costa for a coffee probably because the aircon was turned up very high, it was nice to get back out onto the street to warm up.

We went for a little walk by the river and sat by the ferry to watch the people and boats.

Later I watched the Championship play-off final from Wembley.  I'm pleased to report that my  home team, Hull City, beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 and so are promoted to the Premiership.  The last time this happened was 2008 (against Bristol City), Hull lasted two seasons.  I've added a pic from the TV of part of the after game celebrations in the extras.
