Noah's Ark Meet

Today we went on a day trip to Perth to meet some friends. Due to the recent poor weather, we decided to plan an indoor meet, but as it turned out, it was quite nice so somewhere outdoors would have been better!

We arrived late but were pleased to hear that the others were all late too - 5 mums and 13 children (including 4 babies under 6 months) - it was chaos. It was nice catching up with everyone again, especially S who was up from Leeds, but it was a shame it was too noisy with older kids being off school as it was hard to have much conversation - it was like being in a pub!

I took O into the ball pit in the baby play section - this was his first time joining in at soft play. He seemed interested in the balls, but was quite unsettled due to the heat/noise/teething. H was her usual scaredy cat self and wanted to play in the baby section for a couple of hours, just running about, climbing on things. It was only 5 minutes before we were due to leave that she braved the older kids section and loved it. I allowed her to go down the giant slide 3 times before dragging her away as everyone else was waiting on us!

Hubby and I both had dental appointments in the evening. I had a filling replaced that had falled out, and he got a clean up. Thankfully I didn't get an injection to numb the pain as I was starving so still able to eat dinner! We tag teamed looking after the kids in the waiting room and H was keeping everyone entertained with her dancing. She was very upset at not going in to the dentist to have her teeth cleaned though - hope that enthusiasm continues!
