Dr Blighty

Every year from May through to June is the Brighton Festival and this morning I saw lots of photographs of this amazing light show at the Royal Pavilion.  It's called Dr Blighty and tells the story of the injured Indian soldiers who were brought to the Royal Pavilion during the first World War, when it was converted into a hospital.  Fortunately, it's on every night until Saturday so we decided to go tonight.  It was really impressive so I've put more images in my extras, but this is my favourite shot and if you look closely you can see an elephant.

Earlier this evening, Alan and I went for a bike ride to the marina and back and cycled 6.5  miles in total.  It's only 5 weeks until I do the Brighton Pretty Muddy 5k so I'm trying to build up my stamina and at lunch time I did a power walk along the seafront.  I've done 15, 618 steps in total today, I've just got to keep it up now!

Thank you for putting my 1460th blip onto the 5th spot of the Popular page - I can't believe it's still there!
