St Oswald's Way

St Oswald"s Way is a walking route from Holy Island to Hexham Abbey. One stretch of it leads through the field by Chris's house and she'd always wondered when she saw people walking up there what the route would be. This morning we decided to take the track from Lordenshaws to Harwood, where Mr C picked us up, 8 miles later. We'd feared it would be forestry tracks all the way, but in fact it was delightful. Luckily we've had no rain for ages as some stretches could have been boggy,

We were back for lunch. Now I'm going to put my hot feet up and read the paper.
