Blue Boy is Skeptical

Dear Diary,

It was positively hot yesterday!  A repeat is promised for today.  As usual, there is no slow warming trend.  Just a quick transition to summer temperatures.  The heat seems to have brought new birds to the seed bowl!  Not Blue Boy, of course.  He hangs around all year.  He was quite perplexed yesterday with the little frog on the "chipmunk crossing" sign.  He hopped around and around it, eyeing it suspiciously.  Quite comical to watch.

Two new feathered friends came later (extra photograph).  A Rose-breasted Gros Beak and an Indigo Bunting (barely visible behind).  It was quite the riot of color for a time!  They came at dusk so the image isn't the best and I wasn't able to get the little Indigo clearly but you get the idea.

The fence is nearly done in the meditation garden!  Today will do it, hopefully.  I ordered a black trellis for the studio garden "sore spot".  It will mask off the AC and heater vent and I can grow a vine of some sort on it. Greg said he can make it easy to take down in the fall.  Step by step it will get done....
