Around and around

Around the blessed M25 today in fog, low cloud and more spray than a winter storm in the Bay. To see my Mum and talk over plans with her and my lovely sister.

It even rained on the way back from Oxford to Kent but was lifted by an almost perfect airport pick-up at HTR Terminal 5 as The Principal jetted in from exotic Bochum (twinned with Sheffield) in the heart of the Ruhr.

We docked at the Mother Ship at 8pm: a long day in the saddle.

The perfect airport pickup is the subject of a Seinfeld episode called The Airport in which the glamorous model Jerry delightfully sits next to when he is bumped up to First Class says, "I never met a man who knew so much about nothing." It is a quality I am cultivating.
