Here!

We arrived in Seattle this afternoon and, when I looked out of the hotel window at the view of the Lake, I said: I know this place. Well. Of course I did, because I have followed NannaK for a long time now and seen her many pictures of the Lake, so why shouldn’t I feel that I recognise it.

But here it is from another spot and much later on in the evening. We have had the best welcome anyone could hope for from two delightful people. We walked to NannaK’s  wonderful home, were greeted and fed and fed again - very well. We talked and talked and then we walked and walked. A fabulous evening indeed.

I still can’t quite believe we are really here though. A few days ago NannaK posted a picture of this sidewalk and this bench. I said I wanted to see that bench. Tonight we walked to it and so I had to post this picture as an extra – just to prove that we made it.
 
And what a day to look forward to tomorrow!
