Dawn Mist over Blandswood

An early start for me today as I travel off to Christchurch for surgery. First light over the forest was amazing with layers of misty cloud hovering over and amongst the trees of Dennistoun Bush below us.

I figured this could well be my last shot from our upstairs balcony for a while - I'm going to be on crutches for the next 8 weeks or so, and I'll be sleeping downstairs and not braving our narrow stairs.

I reckon this view will keep me going for a bit.

Blips might be a little bit sparse over the next few days as I'll be in my hospital bed and Southern Cross aren't too keen on photos in the rooms. Ah well.
