Finishing touches

Neither of us slept well last night, too much coughing and spluttering, still!!! Plus I never sleep well when any of the granddaughters sleep over :-/

Emily didn't disturb us too early which was good. Whilst I was preparing breakfast hub popped round to the shop for his paper and more importantly milk...I always have a stand by long life in the fridge in the garage, but we hardly every use it, Sod's law today, when we needed it, it was out of date!! After our porridge Emily had her bath and washed her hair, with a little help, although she insisted '" I can do it myself grandma" ;-).

Our hairdresser arrived, so I had my colour, low lights and cut, hub had a trim. We all had some lunch, Emily had spaghetti bolognese, sandwiches for us, then they watched Brave and Inside Out, which was a great little movie for children all about emotions.

We took Emily home late afternoon as she was going to a friends birthday party..... trampolining apparently :-)

Once home hub cut the front lawn whilst I pottered hoping to find my blip. We sat in the garden for half an hour with a cuppa talking about what we need to do tomorrow before our hols!

Luckily for me I had my longer lens on my camera, in my lap, as we watched this female blackbird stripping one of our planter liners, no doubt to build her nest. I took quite a few images, but just as we were about to call it a day, Mr Blackbird put in an appearance.........Im sure he'd come to hurry her along, I think she was saying something along the lines of "Im coming dear, just putting the finishing touches to the new bedroom" :-D

We have an hour to get washed and brushed up, first Thursday of the month means a meal out before our quiz tonight......means I don't have to think about cooking either :-)
