Blimey, What a North and South!!

..........I can almost see it's breakfast!!  ;-))

We had some lovely sunny spells this morning, so I sat outside with a cuppa and a camera, to catch some rays and hopefully a blip. Imagine my amazement when mum and dad blackbird appeared with two newly fledged chicks only about 12 feet or so away...........I hardly dare move a muscle..........I slowly raised the camera and got these shots ( see extras)......what a joy and honour it was to witness this but it was cut short, after a few minutes when Ed the cat appeared round the corner to join me......even though he wasn't even remotely interested in them, Mr and Mrs Blackbird quickly rounded up the chicks into the bushes and under the fence........not that I minded too much as the sun had gone in by then and it had turned rather chilly :-))
