Coming in to Berth
10.8C with squally showers and bright spells. Wind West or WSW to 24 mph with gusts to 38 mph.
After lunch Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk. Big Country on the Nano (Greatest Hits). We met one of our neighbours as we were leaving the house and stopped to have a chat. We had to shelter from a heavy shower too.
We went across the road and along to the esplanade then walked round past the marina and the two quays of the harbour. No boats at the new quay today.
We carried on round the shore of Campbeltown Loch, along the path in the park, then carried on out Kilkerran Road. We went round to Glenramskill, past the goldsmith's studio and went as far as the Nato jetty. I noticed a number of gannets (apparently the collective noun is a company) gliding back and forth across the channel out by Davaar island, and some were diving.
We came back along the street side of the park and came back along the harbour where I saw this fishing boat coming in to berth. For the eagle eyed amongst you, there are a few gannets soaring above the boat and over the New Quay. I'll pop in the tag for Mono Monday on the theme of wings too.
