Gotcha!!

Slept well last night, 11 hrs, couldn't believe it when the clock said 10am when I woke this morning!! Well, I must have needed it after my trip out yesterday. The sun was shining, blue skies for a couple of hours and no rain!!

B is replacing the outdoor lights (a task for a dry day) and I'm just messing about. I was expecting a package with a very small lock and knob for the scruffy box, which is almost finished. I ordered them on Monday and was quoted 3-5 days delivery, still no sight of them. I'm disappointed as I had planned to complete the box this weekend.

I ordered a book from Amazon on Thursday, Thinking Fast and Thinking Slow by Daniel Kahneman, which arrived this morning, amazed at their speed for free delivery. Might just spend some time today or tomorrow curled up with this!! This will not be a book to share with the book club ladies, more likely to share it with P (if he hasn't already read it)!!

In the meantime I ambled out to see what the garden had to offer. Our visiting birds have disappeared from sight. They can be heard morning and evening but I can only assume there is something better on offer elsewhere. When B has finished disturbing the peace outdoors, I will put out some food to see if I can tempt them.

The cosmos plants have done badly this year and whilst trying to see if I could find something half decent, found this spider ready to tuck into lunch...and a few more meals for the days to come. My bridge camera couldn't get close enough, so got the Nikon. Still haven't read the instructions properly, but had a go. Not the best image possible, but a start. I can look back when I have sussed the workings of this camera and hopefully see how much I've improved!!!
