Hello from the moorhen!!!

A trip out today, first for a week, into town for a couple of things, out of town shopping centre for bird seed and food shopping on the way back. A round trip of about 50 miles!!

It rained in each of the towns, until I got back to the pond!!

I was prepared with my camera and a bag of bread and my little friends were soooo..... pleased to see me!!! Twelve mallards, three moorhens and the four "odd boys" who hang about together came running up!! No sign of the Canada geese today.

I perched on the seat trying not to get my bum too wet and dished out the bread, in between trying to take some reasonable blips.

The break in the weather, although for only a few minutes, some fresh air and the antics of my feathered friends was cheering.
