Daffy-down-Dilly
Daffy-down-Dilly
Has come to town
With a yellow petticoat
And a pretty green gown.
This rhyme originates from a novel called
" Little Daffydowndilly"
Written by American author Nathaniel Hawthorne, 1804. - 1864.
Funny how you remember rhymes from your childhood.
Lovely Spring day.
Warmer, and sun shining. We didn't get any of the showers which were forecast.
Washing all dry.
Shopping done.
Spent the afternoon tidying up the garden.
Now making tea. Easy one pot Spanish rice and prawns.
Collage is of different varieties of daffodils which are flowering in our garden.
Unfortunately some are being eaten. Think it could be slugs. Need a hedgehog!
The weekend is here again. Hope you all enjoy it.
