Three's a crowd!
Frogs, frog spawn,and tadpoles.
A lovely morning spent at Rodley Nature Reserve. Only about 3 miles from the centre of Leeds a little oasis for wildlife.
Designed to bring wetland wildlife back to the Leeds area.
Created on a floodplain in the Kirkstall Valley, a recognised "flyway" for wildfowl and waders on migration, the wet land habitats constructed here complement the nearby River Aire and the Leeds andLiverpool Canal.
On another glorious day, we enjoyed a walk round, listening to the birds singing. Watching the herons catching their lunch. Swans building their nests.lots of butterflies, and bees flying about.
Nice to see so many children here . Some with their nets, pond dipping.
Finished of with tea and cake, which was free. Just give a donation. Which we did.
We will be back again soon.
( only open by volunteers on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. 10 am to 4 ppm if anyone is interested. )
