That famous face

Team 7, with All Black captain Ritchie McCaw arrived in Murchison about 2.40pm this afternoon, paddling down the Matakitaki River in brilliant sunshine. 

And of course, having someone as famous as Ritchie arrive, TeeJay and I just had to pop down to the river to welcome them to our wee town.  We weren't the only ones there of course, there were quite a few spectators present hoping to catch a glimpse of him.

It's been fascinating tracking the teams on our computers, and when we thought there was a team arriving in Murchison, the students at school would go outside and cheer the participants on.  It has been quite exciting!
