Coming Back Home

This is a picture I took from the Anadolu Hisari pier, near my home, while I was coming back from school. The color of the sea was great and the weather was absolutely fabulous, and all of these made me stop and appreciate what a beautiful city I am living in. It is funny how we just continue with our lives normally like we are living in an ordinary city, just because we are familiar with it.

People come to this city as tourists (at least they used to), because it IS in fact one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I sometimes stop to look at Istanbul, and enjoy its view, the birds, the sea, the fresh air (only near Bosphorus unfortunately)... All of these remind me of how little time we spend to look around and see the beauties of the city we are living in. Istanbul is a wonderful city, and I took this picture thinking of all of this, and how lucky I am to live in a city like this.
