Skippers Canyon

Fabulous day. We wanted to experience a jetboat ride, and I researched several. We decided on Skippers Canyon on the Shotover River, as we wanted to experience "one of the most dangerous roads in the world" to get to the jetboat. In fact it wasn't that scary though there were lots of vertiginous drops from the narrow, steep and twisty unmade road. The blip shows a bit of the road before it got to the scary bits! The jetboat was fun, whizzing along towards rocks, doing 360 degree turns etc.

In the afternoon we had our briefing for the Routeburn, one of the "great walk" of NZ.
