Another demo

I had a quick trawl round LD Mountain to see if I could get a ski jacket in the sale. I have been skiing in old walking gear for 10 years and this time the jacket wasn't really up to minus 18. I found one but it fits a bit snuggly. I think I'll have to take it back. I have to allow myself plenty of room to get myself hauled up when I take a tumble.

I attended the anti-racism, Trump not welcome here demo at Grey's monument before I met Mr C to go to see "The Eagle Huntress" at the Tyneside. It was beautifully filmed. It's about the quest of a young Mongolian girl who wants to learn to train her eagle to hunt so persuades her father and grandfather to teach her. Traditionally it is a male domain which requires good pony-riding skills as well as strength and endurance. She becomes the first female to win the prize at the competition. i think the film has won awards at Cannes etc. It was lovely and dignified, without being soppy.
