Quilt
We had sad news on Wednesday as our brother in law died, and today we travelled up to Lincolnshire to spend the day with Bill's sister. It was a day of very mixed emotions as there were tears when we arrived but Sue was strong and we decided to do something really practical and therefore spent the day gardening. After lunch we spent time looking at some of the fabulous quilts that Sue has made. This is just one example and she has to complete it by attaching a border which she is currently working on. It is incredibly beautiful and so very artistic as each square is different.
Brian was only diagnosed with lung cancer 8 weeks ago so this was a tremendous shock to all the family. Fortunately we saw him about three weeks ago on the way home from our Scotland holiday. He was in really good spirits and very positive about his treatment and prognosis. It just makes me realise that we really should make the most of every day and how lucky we are to have such a wonderful family and currently have good health - except for Bill at the moment who is hobbling around with a sore knee following his morris dancing at the Moulton Fun Day!!! It will get better though.
