The real cloak of Manannan -
- descended today.
We started with a bit of low cloud (or the cloak of Manannan) over the hills but we set off to walk anyway, parking at the beach in Kirk Michael and walking up Glen Wyllin.
This is a lovely broad glen with a very pleasant camp site.
Climbing out of the valley we had this view of the hills around Kirk Michael with the cloud still hovering on the tops. Walking along through a hamlet we then descended another glen - Glen Mooar. (Glens are basically wooded valleys with streams and waterfalls many of which descend to the sea.)
We took a short detour to Spooyt Vane a steep waterfall at the head of the glen. Here is H and Woody at Glen Mooar and Spooyt Vane.
We returned to the beach for the last part of the walk. This is on the west coast but furthernorth than yesterday and the cliffs here are eroding.
Woody had a good time!
