Cut tulip

I am thoroughly enjoying using my new macro lens.  I bought it because I spent a lot of snapping time with my camera down a flower head so I thought I'd make a virtue of it.  I anticipate many of these kind of shots in the months ahead.

Most of the day was spent painting the new wooden arch.  It is now grey or urban slate according to the paint tin.  Then it rained.  So the wet paint got even wetter.  Oh well, a second coat was planned anyway.
