Wilson Sky
9.6C and bright with sunny spells and a few light showers. WSW wind to 24 mph with gusts to 34 mph.
Grocery shopping this morning at Sainsburys and in M&S at City Quay/Gallagher Retail Park in Dundee.
Before lunch Apothecary7 and I took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. Just after the field with the bridle path the road dips down into a small valley which the Craigmill burn runs through into Craigmill Den. Just before the derelict cottage we passed three or four parked cars then a group of girls who had been performing what looked like a dance routine in the road as they were being filmed and photographed. That was a first, and unexpected on a quiet country road on a Sunday. We had passed other walkers and cyclists too and I'd have to guess the girls and the organisers hadn't expected so many people on what is usually a very quiet road.
We carried on up the hill to Craigmill farm and turned right to take the track down to the shore road. From the track we could clearly see the general cargo ship Wilson Sky which I looked up later on the AIS website. I found out that she was sailing from Glomfjord in Norway to Dundee.
We walked along the cycle path to Westhaven and turned up the road to the shore to get home.
Later we got all the towels and tea towels out of the big cupboard in the kitchen, and all the bedding from under one of the spare beds and from an over wardrobe 'top box' and sorted them all out. Most are now ready for packing, and a few went to the recycle centre with yet another two ancient duvets I found in black bags up in the loft through the week. This is the real end of the tidying and the real start of the packing.
