Poynton Gateway

Further to my blip last Monday about the re-design of Poynton, there were sculptures installed at different gateways into the town.

Each one represents a feature of Poynton's history - industry, agriculture, aerospace and mining.

They are really impressive, and the sculpture I have blipped is the one representing Mining, and has the mine shaft wheel at the top and the ropes down the sides.
